If your posting a solution thx, and now to the point, whenever I play mirrors edge the graphics suck and the game is slow as crap, i know your probley thinking he dosent have the right hardware, well i do cuz i can run fallout 3 and crysis on high, if your having the same problem and solution plzz post here thx for your time specs..

Mirrors Edge Slow Motion PhysX Fix
FPS Lags when glass brakes. Hi everyone! I was playing Mirrors edge until whenever a guard or myself broke glass my FPS Dropped a huge amout which makes the game unplayble! (because of the lag) Dose anyone know how to fix this? Go into Options then Video and uncheck Phyx. It worked for me.

this game is a console port, and not very good one. it is however a great game if you get 60 fps or more on it, the speed and height makes for a fun experience.

3rd person takedowns. These could and should be accomplished in 1st person, in keeping with the spirit of Mirror's Edge: body immersion. It undermines the fundamental thing about Mirror's Edge (to me), which is embodying this person's eyes, hands, feet (and even ears, hearing that rush of the wind as you run).

I also had this problem and solved it by deleting some files from the game folder. Took these steps from a steam forum post: Delete or rename the physxcore.dll, and physxdevice.dll from the steam\steamapps\common\mirrors edge\binaries folder. Also delete the physxlocal directory inside that same binaries folder.
